2025 PIONEER OF THE YEAR NOMINATION FORM

We've created a PIONEER OF THE YEAR nomination form.  If you have a Pioneer you'd like to nominate it gives you the information you need.

The TCPA Executive Board will be voting by secret ballot at our next meeting on May 14th, 2025

"INSIDE A PIONEER'S LIFE" QUESTIONS

Starting with our June Membership Meeting, the TCPA Board is going to begin a series of interviews entitled: "Inside A Pioneer's Life".  We'll be interviewing one Pioneer/meeting that would volunteer to be interviewed and recorded.   Our purpose is to learn more about our Pioneer's lives and add to the TCPM oral history library.  

Every Pioneer will be asked the same 10 questions.  The questions have not been selected yet, but here are some possible ones (there are more than 10 here):

• When did your family first come to Tillamook County?
• Where did you attend elementary school?
• What did you most enjoy doing with your family as you were growing up?
• What Christmas traditions do you remember growing up? (smells, sights, etc.)
• What did your parents and grandparents do for a living
• How did your parents meet?
• What family traditions would you like to see passed on?
• What person had the greatest influence on your life?
• Do you have a favorite saying or advice you live by?
• What are your favorite hobbies?
• What are the most important changes you've seen in your lifetime?

PUD Community Support Received!

TCPA applied for and received a $5,000 PUD Community Support Grant  for 2025.  With this grant we are refinishing the floor of the fairgrounds Pioneer Building.

FRONT DESK HELP NEEDED

 

Members of our Tillamook County Pioneer Association (TCPA) try to support our Tillamook County Pioneer Museum (TCPM)

any way we can.

Right now there is a need for Volunteers at the TCPM Front Desk.

The TCPM is open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-4:00.

The shifts are 3 hours long.

There's a first (AM) shift 10:00-1:00

and a second (PM) shift 1:00-4:00.

Peyton, the TCPM Director, will gladly train you. 

The shifts in which we need help are:

Thursday AM

Friday PM

Saturday AM

Saturday PM

We like to provide volunteer front desk help so the TCPM Staff can focus on other TCPM business.  If you like meeting other people, you'll surely have the opportunity.
